Dorking Wanderers host Bromley FC in a London clash of two mid-table National League seeking to arrest their poor form tomorrow at Meadowbank Stadium.
Bromley are winless in seven games, picking up only three points over that period, leaving them tenth in the table on 26 points, after a good start in the promotion battle.
Dorking’s recent spell is only marginally better, with a run of four games since their last win against Wealdstone, but stand in 15th with 20 points.
Dorking fans will be excited at the prospect of a debut for new loan signing Jasper Pattenden from Wycombe Wanderers, after signing a deal until the 3rd of January.
The winger has previous experience with coach Mark Beard during a period as a Brighton & Hove Albion youth player, and manager Marc White has kept an eye on him since his time at Worthing FC.
Pattenden can add to a promising attack for the Wanderers, but their issues in defence still remain, having conceded the most goals of all teams this season with 42 in 18 games.
Bromley’s recent form is attributed to issues on both ends, as they have only scored six goals during the seven game winless run, and conceded 12, without keeping a clean sheet.
One piece of optimism is forward Michael Cheeks, who has scored in two of the last three games, which hopefully will ease the burden on lead scorer Adam Marriott.
Cheeks has scored 23 and 17 in the past two seasons but is only on four so far, so the Ravens know what he is capable and how important he can be to a turnaround.
The two teams play in the league for the first time, with their only meeting prior in the first round of the 2019-2020 FA Trophy.
