Sheffield Wednesday v Fulham @ Hillsborough
March 14, 2015 @ 3.00pm
Fulham will be able to call upon new loan signing Michael Turner as they look to reverse recent fortunes at Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow.
Lewisham-born Turner has joined from Norwich City for the rest of the season having made 24 appearances for the Canaries this campaign.
The 31-year-old defender has six years’ experience in the Premier League playing for Hull City, Sunderland and Norwich, but it is a Championship relegation battle the he now finds himself in.
One win in their last nine league games has seen the Cottagers slip to one place above the relegation zone, although they do have an eight-point gap to the bottom three and Turner is keen to ease the drop fears.
“As soon as I learned of Fulham’s interest I wanted to come here,” he said.
“I just want to try and make a big influence on the team.”
Influence is what Fulham need as they come in to the game on the back of a 5-1 loss at home to league leaders Bournemouth last Friday.
They could take heart from Sheffield Wednesday’s recent form which has seen them reverse a seven-game winless slump with three victories in their last four.
The last meeting between the two was arguably Fulham’s best performance of the season, a 4-0 win at Craven Cottage.
There were four different scorers on that day, but since then the Cottagers have struggled and repeating the feat will be a big ask.
