Wimbledon hockey players Michael Hoare, Ian Sloan and Henry Weir are pinning their hopes on an Olympic men’s quarter-final place as they take on Spain at 7pm tonight.
Team GB need a better result or three more goals than New Zealand manage in their clash with Belarus at 10pm.
Britain, who currently sit fifth in the pool A table, have only managed one win in their Olympic campaign so far with a 9-1 victory over Brazil.
They lost to Belgium 4-1, drew against New Zealand 2-2 and lost 2-1 against Australia, who claimed bronze at London 2012.
Hoare and Weir were members of the England squad that won bronze at Glasgow 2014, with Hoare also helping to secure a third-place finish at the 2014 World League Final.
Sloan made his debut for Great Britain in 2015 having previously represented Ireland.
This year, Sloan was a part of the Champions Trophy squad that came fourth after losing the bronze medal match 1-0 to Germany.
