Fulham v AFC Bournemouth @ Craven Cottage
March 6, 2015 @ 7.45pm
Captain Scott Parker will return to the Fulham team tonight as the Cottagers aim to increase their gap to the relegation zone.
Parker was rested for Fulham’s defeat to Watford on Tuesday, but will hope to lead his side to victory over promotion-hopefuls Bournemouth, a team they have not beaten in their past five meetings.
The Watford defeat was Fulham’s fourth loss in their past six matches and left them only two places and eight points above the drop zone.
They did shock then-league-leaders Derby on Saturday and will hope to do something similar against Bournemouth, who picked up their first win in six games when they beat Wolves on Tuesday.
While Bournemouth have only won one of their past five away games, they have an impressive record at Craven Cottage and are unbeaten in their last four visits there.
Their manager, Eddie Howe, is likely to field the same side that beat Wolves while Fulham will be without the injured Lasse Vigen Christensen, although either Tim Hoogland or Fernando Amorebieta could feature.
Top scorer and record signing Ross McCormack will be looking to build on his 12 goals for a Fulham side with just three goals in their past five games.
After scoring both goals during Bournemouth’s 2-1 win over Wolves, Yann Kermorgant moved his tally for the season to one more than McCormack’s and will be the Cherries’ main threat.
