Rugby fans attending the England v Wales Six Nations game last weekend at Twickenham Stadium were welcomed by two newly-created murals, towering almost 10 meters high.
A group of artists from MurWalls, an England Rugby licensee, spent a week painting the murals of players from both the England Rugby men and women’s teams.
The murals are located on the side of Twickenham Stadium’s West Stand, positioned for all to see on either side of the stand’s entrance.
The three England men’s players who feature on the mural are Owen Farrell, Maro Itoje and Kyle Sinckler.
The women’s mural features England Rugby players Emily Scarratt, Shaunagh Brown and Zoe Harrison.
RFU commercial partnership director, Rob Grenville-Jones said: “MurWalls has created two incredibly eye-catching pieces of art, celebrating six of our players that will be seen by thousands entering the stadium on match day.
“MurWalls works with many global brands, including a number of high-profile sports clubs, and we knew they would create imposing and impressive work, that would strike a visual punch.
“Limited edition print-sized versions of this art will be available in due course with further details to follow.”
Red Five Films produced a video showing the creation of the artwork.
The England players will have a week of rest from the Guinness Six Nations this weekend in preparation for round four of the games.
England will take on Ireland at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 12 March (KO 16:45).
