New Kew Bridge Pilates studio provides personal experiences

A new pilates studio which focuses on individual experiences is opening in Kew Bridge next month.

Renata Gruda and Rima Majid began London Pilates4U after the COVID19 pandemic to specialise on the individual experience someone can get through pilates.

The Hanwell-based studio is expanding to a second location in Kew Bridge on Saturday 9 November and will be celebrating with a small opening party for their clients.

Gruda said: “Pilates is for everyone, so we decided to make it all-inclusive and basically name the studio for what it is.”

London Pilates4U instructors are equipped with knowledge of how to modify their teaching methods for injuries as well.

Gruda said: “We make our clients work really hard, but in a safe way.

“We provide a community feeling so our clients quite often get together for coffee after classes.”

“We exist because our clients are very supportive.

“It’s like a bit of a dream coming true.”

Pilates is good for the body because it focuses on alignment to correct posture.

Gruda said: “It has been recently embraced by the NHS as one of the best methods, really for therapy, recovering from any side injuries, and also preparing for different surgeries.

“It improves flexibility, strength, muscle tone and also helps with chronic pain.”

London Pilates4U chose to open the new studio in Kew Bridge as not only is the river view beautiful, but there are not many pilates studios in that area.

Gruda added: “We couldn’t really think about a better location.”

Currently, Gruda and Majid are working with interior designers, graphic designers, and webmasters as well as organising a photo shoot for the studio to get a step closer to making this dream a reality.

Gruda said: “We get up every morning and work hard towards our goal.”

With eight instructors and smaller class sizes of around eight clients, there is a more personal experience as pilates is a different type of exercise compared to what can be done at a standard gym.

Gruda said this intimate experience meant that their instructors were very happy to work with them.

Gruda said: “We hope that the studio will be as vibrant as the current one, and we hope to take it further from there.”

At London Pilates4U’s Hanwell location, classes tend to be full which results in a long waitlist.

They hope that the new studio in Kew Bridge can offer a higher capacity.

Gruda added: “We are just looking forward to expand and provide that offer with the Kew Bridge community.”
