Chris Rea’s tour supports the release of his new material, the first in over a decade. The 3CD and 2DVD The Santo Spirito Project will include a brand new studio album and two feature films on DVD, written and directed by the musician himself.

 

Embrace Portrait Photography Workshop: Embrace Cooperation Ltd, Brixton

Saturday 31st March , 10.15am-4pm

Tickets: £45

Capture all of life’s happy moments and create lasting memories by joining the workshop and learning all the skills of taking great portraits.

Participants will participate in practical photography using their own cameras to take quality photos under the instruction of Embrace’s professional photography tutors.

You will also work with models, lighting equipment and learn how to process your images. 

 

Theatrebugs Easter Workshop Richmond: The Crossway Centre, Richmond

Tuesday 3rd April – Thursday 5th April, 9am-12pm

Tickets: £78 (10% discount on the youngest sibling)

Enjoy some family time at this jam packed workshop. With a mix of drama, music, dance, arts and crafts, games and dressing up – it will be non-stop fun.

Kids will be kept entertained by Meet Buzz the Bee, the busiest bee in all of Fuzzyway Forest! Buzz around with him to help Fairy Petal, Bounce the Bunny and even the Queen Bee herself!

Children put on a show for mums and dads on the last day.

The workshop is suitable for 3.5 years to 8 years, a snack and drink is included!


Dance Around The Around: Vanston Community Centre, Fulham

NICOLA (New International Company of Live Arts) are looking for  people aged 16-25 years old to join their project, Dance Around The World, an exchange programme with dancers from Eastern Europe. The project aims to enrich young people’s knowledge of the origins of various dance styles and reflect their cultural and social identity. To get involved in this free project, all you have to do is audition and be available from 31st of March – 8th of April 2012. Anyone who is interested in the exchange programme needs to contact the NICOLA association on 0207 386 8865.

 

Fireman Sam: New Wimbledon Theatre, Wimbledon

Sam ‘the hero next door’ is heading to the Wimbledon stage. Audiences can ‘rock on down’ to Pontypandy to join in all the fun with this production of Pontypandy Rocks.

Station Officer Steel has booked a surprise guest star to perform at the festival. But Norman Price and Mandy Flood are determined to find out who the secret star will be… at any cost.

Swish & Pout’s Fashion Exchange & Vintage Market: Balham Bowls Club, Balham

This is one just for the ladies. As spring is upon us, Fashion Exchange is willing you to spring clean your wardrobe. It is time to remove all the old, ill-fitting or unworn garments and revamp it with something new that does not break the bank.

The Fashion Exchange will also consist of a Retro Beauty Parlour, Stylist, Cakes and ‘Frocktails’. Alongside all of this there will be a Pop Up Market for vintage fashion lovers.

 

Easter at Kew Gardens – a Maya chocolate adventure: Kew Gardens, Richmond

Embark on an Easter journey with the Maya chocolate adventure. Offering fun, magic and masses of chocolate, visitors can explore the interactive trail around the gardens before making something special to take home in craft and chocolate making workshops.

You will have the chance to explore the Palm House, if you offer an origami flower to the sacred jaguar god in the Waterlily Pond, add your wish to the cacao wishing tree and make a mask, headdress or dolls to take home. Kids can also get an Easter design or a symbol you’ve discovered on your adventure.

Experience a taste of Maya culture in chocolate making workshops and make your own chocolate.
