King Charles III’s coronation is taking place next weekend and many guests from world leaders to A-list celebrities are joining to celebrate.
Here’s a list of those expected to attend.
The British Royal Family
The Prince and Princess of Wales will be attending alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
There has been plenty of controversy over the presence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
However, a Buckingham Palace statement confirmed: “Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May.
“The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.”
The King’s sister, The Princess Royal, and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence will be attending alongside Anne’s children Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall, who will be with her husband Mike Tindall.
Moreover, The King’s brother, the Duke of York will be joining alongside his daughters Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice with their partners.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will also be in attendance with Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor and the Earl of Wessex.
The Parker Bowles and Shand families
The Queen’s former husband, Brigadier Andrew Parker Bowles, will be attending with their son Thomas Parker Bowles.
As well as this the Queen’s granddaughter Lola and grandson Frederick will join their father.
The Queen’s daughter and son-in-law Laura and Harry Lopes will be there too with their children Eliza, Louis and Gus.
Annabel Elliot, the Queen’s sister is attending with her son Benjamin and his wife Elliot alongside their son Arthur.
UK Government
Every living former prime minister is due to attend as well as the current Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty.
Cabinet members are also due to attend alongside the predominant government figures.
First Ministers of devolved governments

- Wales Mark Drakeford, First Minister of Wales
World leaders, foreign dignitaries and foreign royalty
Amongst the attendees are many world leaders, foreign dignitaries and royalty from across the world.
All religious leaders and representatives will also be in attendance.
Traditionally, foreign monarchs have not attended British coronations but in their place other members or representatives are coming in their place.
Community and charity workers
King Charles and Queen Camilla have invited 400 young people representing charitable organisations.
Some 450 British Empire Medalist recipients have also been invited to the Coronation Service.
Many of the BEM recipients attending the Coronation Service were instrumental in providing services and support to their local communities during the Covid-19 lockdowns.
Celebrity speculations
Dame Joanna Lumley will be attending, as well as helping Sky News cover the event.
There has been no other confirmation of celebrities joining on the day, other than those who are performing.
