The Harlequins Rugby Club will launch its Big Summer Kick-Off in Twickenham Stadium this April, with Grammy winner Jess Glynne as this year’s headliner.
The Harlequins will play the Northampton Saints for a spot in the final four of the Gallagher Premiership in an all-day family event of rugby, free fairground rides, and an array of food and drink stalls.
Following in the footsteps of DJ Joel Corry and artists like Kaiser Chiefs, who have recently played at victorious Harlequins events such as Big Game 15 against Gloucester, singer-songwriter Jess Glynne will take centre stage.
Glynne, who has ten billion streams, said: “Headlining Big Summer Kick-Off at Twickenham Stadium is going to be big.”
“My new album comes out the day before so I’m looking forward to celebrating with everyone and performing some of my favourite songs.”
Commenting on the return of the Big Summer Kick-Off and his team’s clash with Northampton Saints, Marcus Smith, Harlequins and England fly-half said: “After the amazing experience of defeating Gloucester in front of 76,000 fans at Big Game 15, to be back in front of another electric crowd will be special.”
“Coming up against a rival like Northampton Saints the match will definitely have an extra edge, both on and off the pitch.”
“We can’t wait to put on a great show and hopefully come away with an important win.”
ELECTRIC CROWD: Harlequins Big Summer Kick-Off
Live band Massaoke will perform after the match in the West Fan Village, which will host the array of food and drink stalls and family activities, including free rides, have-a-go inflatables, Harlequins mascots, and face painters.
The Big Summer Kick-Off will take place on Saturday 27th April with tickets costing £35 per adult, and £25 for Under 18’s.
