AFC Wimbledon fans have more reason to purchase FIFA15 as their new striker Adebayo Akinfenwa was confirmed as the strongest player in the hit global game.
The burly front man, who joined the Dons this summer from Northampton Town, has the highest strength rating of any player on the game for the second consecutive season.
The 32-year-old topped the strength rating category ahead of established Premier League stars such as Swansea’s Wilfried Bony and Manchester City’s Yaya Toure.
There had been speculation that Akinfenwa, nicknamed ‘The Beast’ may miss out on being the strongest man on the game, prompting him to challenge whoever would take his title to a bench press competition.
However fortunately for Herold Goulon, who finished second, it will not come to that as FIFA15’s manufacturers EA Sports confirmed via their Twitter page that Akinfenwa had retained his title.
The big man himself was certainly pleased at the outcome, tweeting on his official account:
2nd year in a row I’m the strongest on #Fifa15 I would like to thank @EASPORTSFIFA Nando’s & my Mum lol #BMO pic.twitter.com/JzpLZZSWR3

Akinfenwa will be hoping his three goals in the past week will kick start his Dons career after a slow start to the season but so far he’s enjoying his FIFA fame.
