WATCH: Chelsea in Bloom 2024: A Sustainable Floral Feast

Chelsea in Bloom, the world-class alternative floral art show, is back, revitalising the streets of Chelsea from 20-26 May with spectacular flower displays.

Produced by Cadogan and in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), this annual contest sees continual growth as Chelsea’s finest retailers, restaurants and hotels showcase their creativity, all competing for the sought-after awards.

This year’s theme, ‘Floral Feasts’, celebrates Chelsea’s renowned botanical heritage and exceptional cuisine.

Digital Marketing and Content Manager at Cadogan, Sophia Hamilton-Jones, said: “We have an incredible team, we work with incredible partners, and every year it just continues to surpass our expectations.”

An expert panel judged the displays and the winners were revealed on Tuesday, 21 May.

The Conran Shop won the prize for Best Floral Display, while The Butchers Tap & Grill took home the Innovation award, and Birley Bakery received the Highly Commended award.

The People’s Champion Award will be chosen through public voting via the Chelsea in Bloom website and the winner announced today, Friday, May 24.

This year’s event will see many flowers donated to Confetti Club, a not-for-profit that transforms used flowers into stunning, biodegradable dried petal confetti, with all profits going to Cancer Research UK.

One of Confetti Club’s founders, Toby Shouls, said that London is blessed to have some of the most amazing floral installations in the world.

The event is also partnering with The Felix Project, a charity combating hunger and food waste in London.

Visitors can learn more about their work and donate at Sloane Square or buy an event t-shirt from the Greengrocers Information Point, where all proceeds go to the cause.
