The 43-year-old is being questioned at a South London police station
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after three children under the age of five were found dead at their home in New Malden.
The 42-year-old was arrested last night after the bodies of twin boys, 3, and a girl aged 4, were found at a £1.2million property on Thetford Road.
Following an emergency call at around 9:30pm, she was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries before being arrested.
The parents were named locally as Tania and Gary Clarence. Mr Clarence is not thought to have been at home at the time of the incident.
It is believed that the children were severely disabled, with neighbours saying that the young children suffered from a muscular dystrophy disease.
A Kingston Council spokesperson said: “We are deeply saddened to hear of the deaths of three children from New Malden. Our thoughts and sympathy are with the family. We are unable to make any further comment at this time as this is an ongoing police investigation.”
