Founded in 1824 by Sir William Hillary, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution marked its 200-year anniversary this year
For over two centuries, the volunteer-led charity has saved more than 146,000 lives and now operates a fleet of over 400 lifeboats with 238 stations around the country.
Established in 2002, RNLI Chiswick Lifeboat Station is one of four on the River Thames.
Located in West London, it is among the busiest RNLI stations, reflecting the unique challenges of urban water rescue.
With their advanced E-class lifeboat, designed for the fast-moving and often narrow waters of the Thames, crews at Chiswick respond to a wide range of emergencies.
Supported by volunteers and public donations, RNLI Chiswick serves a vital role in protecting lives in the heart of London.
