A 26-year-old man is in hospital after he was shot in Balham last night.
Police were called by the ambulance service to Dornton Road at around 9:20pm on Tuesday, September 20 to reports of a shooting.
Officers attended and found evidence of a discharge of a firearm outside an address in Bedford Hill. Inside the address was a man suffering a gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to a south London hospital — his injury is described as not life threatening.
At this early stage the suspect is described as a man who was wearing dark clothing and a skull face bandana or balaclava.
It is believed that he fled the scene down Dornton Road into Ritherdon Road.
Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating.
Detective Inspector Sean Drislane, the senior investigating officer, said:”I would appeal to anyone who was in or around the Bedford Hill area that may have seen or heard anything they think is related to the incident, to contact police.”
