London’s first dedicated water shop opened last month in Fulham, with prices ranging from £2.50 to £130 for a bottle.
Fine Liquids provides a selection of over 30 different types of natural water sourced from around the world.
Milin Patel, director at Fine Liquids and Europe’s leading water sommelier, considers himself the Willy Wonka of natural water and has been in the water industry for 20 years.
The 40-year-old said: “I struggle to provide any fairytale about sugary drinks made in a factory.
“But when describing water as cosmic juice or how mother nature adds bubbles to water that emerges from a natural spring it hydrates the imagination and the kids love it.”
Fine Liquids was founded in 1987 and is now owned by Pat Eckert who joined forces with Patel online during the pandemic.
The water shop in Fulham operates with the intention to “hydrate the imagination”, offering water inspired artwork, art classes and water tasting events in store.
