Megan Markle’s mother will today meet the Queen for the first time after the royal couple arrived at Windsor Castle ahead of their wedding tomorrow.
Meghan and Harry will meet with Meghan’s Mum, Doria Ragland, where she will enjoy her first meeting with the monarch after a busy 24 hours packed with royalty.
Having arrived in England only yesterday, the 61-year-old has already met with Prince William, Kate Middleton, George and Charlotte.
This comes after Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle, confirmed that he will not be attending the wedding due to a heart operation.
In place of Mr Markle, Kensington Palace announced earlier today that Prince Charles will be walking Meghan down the aisle at Windsor Castle.
A statement from Kensington Palace read: “Ms Meghan Markle has asked His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of the quire of St George’s chapel on her wedding day. The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms Markle to the Royal Family in this way.”
Dozens of people have already nabbed the best spots outside the castle by arriving two days ago, and many more have joined their ranks in anticipation of the last royal wedding we will see for a generation.
