Protesters took to the streets of Kingston on Saturday to campaign against planned cuts to health services.
Around 150 people took part in the demonstration against plans to close two A&E and maternity departments in South West London.
The government’s Better Services Better Value review, which is looking at how health services are run in South West London in light of financial pressures and people living longer, will announce its findings in the coming weeks.
Julie Reay, of campaign group Health Alert Kingston, said: “I thought it went very well. People in the town centre were clapping, cheering, and things like that. People joined us as we were marching.”
Two of South West London and north Surrey’s hospitals – Kingston, St Helier, Epsom and Croydon are all threatened under the new proposals.
Kingston Hospital’s accident and emergency and maternity units are not currently set for closure, but it may lose its children’s ward, Sunshine.
