Strictly Come Dancing’s Brendan Cole supports Pamela Stephenson at New Wimbledon Theatre dance show début

Strictly Come Dancing veteran Brendan Cole and professional dancer Vincent Simone were just some of the famous faces supporting Pamela Stephenson at the launch of her dance show in Wimbledon last night.

Pamela, who reached the 2010 Strictly final with James Jordan, co-founded the dance-drama with Arlene Phillips and Harley Medcalf to showcase lambazouk and other Afro-Brazilian dances.

After the last of the applause had died down the stars sipped champagne and chatted to Pamela and Arlene at the New Wimbledon Theatre VIP reception to toast the show’s success.

Brendan took to Twitter to congratulate the pair on their London début.

He tweeted: “Saw Brazouka last night… what a show! Great dancing & incredible energy. Well done cast & well done Pamela & Arlene.”

Got To Dance judge Adam Garcia and other alumni of the BBC flagship programme including former Strictly star Karen Hardy, Lilia Kopylova and Brendan’s 2005 dance partner Fiona Phillips were also spotted at the show.

Ahead of last night’s performance Pamela told SWL that she fell in love with the Brazilian dance after travelling overseas to search for an inclusive, yet sensual, style.

And now it seems that the Strictly stars have fallen for it too.

Brazouka will be at The New Wimbledon Theatre until September 20.
