Worcestershire search in Suzy Lamplugh disappearance case concluded by police

Police have ended their search of land in Worcestershire in the investigation into the disappearance of Suzy Lamplugh without recovering any evidence.

The search started on July 3 and involved excavating several areas of land with the assistance of archaeologists.

Miss Lamplugh, an estate agent, was 25 when she disappeared in 1986 from Fulham, she had written in her diary that she was meeting a man called Mr Kipper.

The ongoing investigation into her disappearance and suspected murder is being led by the Met’s Central Specialist Crime Command.

A Metropolitan Police statement said: “We remain committed to securing justice for Suzy and her family, and officers will continue to assess any new information received in connection with this case.”
