The route the Queen’s funeral hearse will be taking from central London to Windsor Castle on Monday has been announced.
At approximately 1pm on Monday, following the Queen’s state funeral and a procession from Westminster Abby to Wellington Arch, the Queen’s coffin will enter the state hearse and she will be taken to Windsor Castle.
The hearse will travel along the south edge of Hyde Park and travel through Queen’s Gate and Cromwell Road.
After driving through Hammersmith and Chiswick, along the north bank of the River Thames, the hearse will take Great South West Road.
The route is adjacent to Heathrow Airport, who have ensured no flights will be scheduled during this time.
Through Shaw Farm Gate, Queen Elizabeth will enter Windsor Castle, drive along The Long Walk and arrive at St. George’s Chapel, where the Queen will be buried.
