Police name 18-year-old killed in broad daylight stabbing in Lambeth

The 18-year-old fatally stabbed in broad daylight in Lambeth yesterday has been named by police as Solomon Small.

Police were called to Corrance Road, SW2 shortly before 2pm to reports of a stabbing and attended along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.

Solomon was found with stab injuries and despite the efforts of paramedics was pronounced dead at 2.41pm.

DI Dave Blair of Specialist Crime said: “A young man’s life has been taken so suddenly and in broad daylight. Our officers continue to support the family, who understandably are still coming to terms with the shock of losing their loved one in such a brutal attack, they request at this time to be allowed to grieve in privacy.

“We will work tirelessly to catch those responsible and bring them to justice. We ask for the public’s help in providing us with any information that may help us to do this – you don’t even have to leave your name.”

A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder after a short foot chase at 2.23pm in Tremadoc Road soon after officers arrived on scene. He currently remains in police custody.

Solomon’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
