New Wimbledon Theatre will welcome back The Magnificent Music Hall Matinee this Wednesday, starring popular actor, singer and comedian Roy Hudd.
The star of shows including The Good Old Days and Coronation Street is also an established theatre actor, having played Fagin in Oliver, The Wizard in The Wizard of Oz and Henry Ormenroyd in When We Are Married to name but a few.
Special guest star Jan Hunt, who will be accompanied by her Paper Moon Theatre Company, said she was thrilled to be working alongside such a revered actor.
“I am honoured to be sharing the stage with him. Roy is indeed the ‘Master of Music Hall’ and a truly renowned expert of this time honoured art form.
“He has written countless books and articles relating to this great British entertainment and as with all the many hundreds of interviews and talks he has given relating to this genre, his great love of the Music Hall always shines through.”
Audience members will step back in time to the heyday of Music Hall, to experience a production full of variety and classic entertainment.
