A man has been charged with the rape of a woman in a multi-storey car park in Brixton.
Darious Powlette, 21, was charged for the offence. Arrested yesterday, he is currently in custody and will appear at Camberwell Magistrates’ Court later today.
The woman, in her late twenties, was walking home on Coldharbour Lane from a night out before being offered a lift home by the man.
She got into his dark-coloured sports car, which was last seen on CCTV driving towards Denmark Hill.
He is accused of taking her to what the victim described as a three-floor car park where he raped her.
Earlier this week, detectives released a CCTV image of the man they believe committed the crime.
