The match will take place at Bolton Wanderers Reebok Stadium on May 18.
Wimbledon legend Terry Phelan will lead out the Crazy Gang in a charity match against Manchester United legends.
Phelan’s team will line up against the Paul Scholes XI, which will include Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke and the former United captain Bryan Robson, at Bolton Wanderers Reebok Stadium on May 18.
The proceeds raised will go to Sale based charity, Hearts & Minds Challenge, of which Scholes is patron.
“It’s going to be a wonderful experience for everybody – it’s great the old Wimbledon gang are getting back together. There will be a bit of competitiveness as we are old pros and that was the ‘Crazy Gangs’ way,” Phelan said.
“I’m quite fit so I’m raring to go and I think most of the others have kept up their training so it should be a brilliant match. More importantly it will be a fun, light-hearted day where we raise money fora good cause.”
Hearts and Minds Challenge offers support to children and families affected by autism.
The charity is attempting to raise £1million to fund a new school in Manchester for autistic children.
Founder of Hearts & Minds Challenge Ian McGrath says it will be a great family fun day.
“This will be a real opportunity forfootball fans to catch these players in action one more time. We’ve got a few surprise additions to the team sheet too which we will be revealing in the coming months,” McGrath said.
Tickets go on sale on Friday 10th January at 9am, priced £10 foradults, £5 forchildren.
