Prince Harry was the first member of the Royal Family to leave Scotland following the death of Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral yesterday.
Harry arrived at Aberdeen airport just after 10am in a Range Rover without any other members of the Royal Family.
He was seen boarding a British Airways flight to London sporting a black suit and carrying a shoulder bag.
King Charles lll and the Queen Consort Camilla are expected to arrive at the airport shortly to travel back to London.
The King will address the nation in a televised speech later today.
It is understood Harry arrived at Balmoral castle two hours after the announcement of the Queen’s death last night.
He was pictured being driven in a convoy of cars at 7:05pm heading to the Queen’s beloved Scottish holiday home.
Harry arrived without his wife Meghan, who remained in London with their children.
The couple had been in the UK following a European tour, including the 2022 One Young World Summit in Manchester.
The Duchess of Cambridge also remained home in Windsor with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The frantic chain of news about the Queen’s declining health unfolded from 12:32pm when Buckingham Palace announced her Majesty was under medical supervision at her Balmoral home.
King Charles, Camilla and Princess Anne, who were in Scotland at the time, quickly raced to Balmoral.
Prince William soon followed, as well as Prince Andrew and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
According to reports, King Charles lll and Princess Anne were the only royals present when the Queen passed away.
King Charles now takes over the throne following his mother’s 70-year-long reign. Queen Elizabeth II was Britain’s longest reigning monarch.
