King Charles II Greets Crowds at Buckingham Police

King Charles III greets Buckingham Palace crowds

King Charles III greeted the crowds at the gates of Buckingham Palace at around 2.10pm today.

The King shook hands with dozens of well-wishers, with detectives only inches away.

One woman affectionately grabbed him and then kissed his cheek.

He then went on to admire floral tributes left by the Palace’s gates by the public before entering the Palace with the Queen Consort.

He is expected to meet Prime Minister Liz Truss inside the Palace.

Earlier, the King’s plane landed in West London at RAF Northolt just after 1.30pm.
