Frustrated commuters face SECOND day of morning rush-hour chaos at Brixton tube station

Frustrated passengers faced massive queues for the second day in a row at Brixton tube station this morning after a customer accident caused rush hour chaos.

It’s reported that a woman fell down the escalator at about 9am causing serious delays and overcrowding.

This comes after a faulty escalator led to the closure of the station yesterday leaving customers angry and dismayed.

TFL issued no alerts, but affected commuters took to Twitter to warn fellow travellers.

Aneka Dew tweeted: “Caution Brixtoners. Poor lady fallen on escalators at #Brixton.

“Big delays getting into the station #travelalert

Others were unaware of the incident and expressed their frustration for a second day of commuter agony. Michele Jones tweeted: “Two days now queuing outside #Brixton station. When are the escalators going to be repaired!!????”

Another Twitter user wrote: “Tube rammo for second day in a row!

The Victoria Line Twitter account team gave no updates but eventually sent a three-tweet apology to a frustrated customer to explain their failure to report on the incident

Brixton station is now back to normal.
