A murder victim who was stabbed in a Battersea estate was named by police today.
The 35-year-old who was murdered in the Winstanley estate on August 3 has been named as Mohammed Hassan — locally known as ‘Bashir’.
His next of kin have been informed.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service to Shepard House, Winstanley Estate at 6:06pm following reports of a stabbing.
A post-mortem examination held on Friday, August 5 gave cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.
Two other men aged 35 and 33 years old were found nearby suffering from stab injuries and were taken to a south London hospital.
One man flagged down a passing ambulance and the other presented himself to a hospital a short time later.
Both have since been discharged.
The investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Diane Tudway of the Homicide and Major Crime Command.
Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses and information and would urge anyone who is able to assist with their investigation to get in contact.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
