Diwali on the Square, one of the biggest celebrations of Diwali returned to Trafalgar Square on Sunday 27 October.
The religious Hindu festival of Diwali, which fell on 31 October this year, marks the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.
Organised by the volunteer-led Diwali in London Committee, in partnership with the Mayor of London, the free event saw thousands unite in celebration on Trafalgar Square.
In his speech, Mayor Khan expressed the importance of celebrating diversity in London and wished attendees a happy Diwali from his family to theirs.
Alongside a variety of musical and spiritual performances, there were plenty of markets and food stalls for attendees to enjoy.
