How do you like your eggs in the morning? If the answer is ‘with chicken’, look no further because KFC is launching its new breakfast menu in Brixton on Monday.
KFC have asked customers to ditch cereal and turn to chicken for their morning meal following a successful trial which has brought the ‘finger lickin’ good’ breakfast menu to Brixton.
The meaty menu will include the new Chicken AM priced at £2.49 – a piece of Original Recipe chicken, smoked bacon, egg and cheese in a bun.
“The Chicken AM is a delicious way to start the day and we are sure KFC fans will love it,” said head of innovation at KFC UK & Ireland Jack Hinchcliffe.
Bacon rolls (£1.75) and bacon and egg rolls (£1.99) will also be on offer for those who wish to stick to the more traditional route.
If you’re extra hungry you can opt for a meal which is set to include the humble hash brown and a coffee.
KFC hope the new menu will kick start a taste for chicken for breakfast in the UK.
Mr Hinchcliffe said: “Chicken for breakfast might feel like a novelty, but there’s plenty of evidence it can become a breakfast choice here too.”
It may be unusual for the UK, but it’s already a staple around the world.
In Mexico, Chilaquiles with pulled chicken are a favourite breakfast option, while in Indonesia, chicken porridge is a morning must-have.
The restaurant is one of ten which will trial the new menu and will be available from 6am-10:30am.
The new menu will launch on Monday, October 10 at KFC, 467 Brixton Rd.
