The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra held their 20th Symphonic Rock concert at the Royal Albert Hall on June 25.
As part of the concert, the orchestra performed rearranged versions of classic pop and rock hits such as Adele‘s Rolling in the Deep, Coldplay’s Viva La Vida, and Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
Presented by former BBC Radio 2 legend Ken Bruce, the show was also invigorated by Symphonic Voices and an eye-catching light show.
Captivated by the concert, the audience clapped and danced along to multiple songs and gave the show a standing ovation.
To find out more about what conductor of the orchestra David Firman, an attendee of the concert and Royal College of Music composition professor Dr Catherine Kontz said about the evening, as well as classical crossover music as a genre, listen to the news package below.
