The team take on Warrington Wolves at Priestfield Stadium
London Broncos take to Kent on Saturday for their annual on-the-road home fixture, this year versus Warrington Wolves at Gillingham FC’s Priestfield Stadium.
For the second week running, the Broncos will move off the bottom of the Super League table with a win as Salford City Reds, in 13th, don’t play until Monday.
But their opponents are third in the table and arrive in Kent with a record of seven wins from their last eight games while London lost hooker Chad Randall this week for the rest of the season.
A hamstring injury has put paid to his attempt to become the Broncos’ appearance record holder this year, having made 197 outings for the club – five short of the record held by Steele Retchless.
“I know I’m just short of Steele’s record but I’ve had a good run in my career so far,” the 32-year-old Australian told BBC London.
“I played over 100 consecutive games in my time here and this is the first really bad injury I’ve had so I can’t really complain about this injury now.”
Outside back Will Lovell will also miss the rest of the season while forwards Matt Cook and Shane Rodney miss the clash due to shorter-term injuries.
London’s leading try-scorer this season, Kieran Dixon, is expected to return from a hand injury while Mike Bishay retains his place in the squad following an impressive debut versus Castleford Tigers last week.
Shane Grady, Alex Hurst and Dan Sarginson are back in the 19-man squad as a new-look Broncos outfit prepare for life without former captain, Craig Gower, who left the club earlier in the week.
Australian five-eighth Chris Bailey plays for the first time since being announced in the revised Exiles squad to face England next week in Warrington.
A near full-strength Wolves side welcome back veteran full-back and Exiles captain, Brett Hodgson, as they look to avenge an embarrassing 62-18 away loss at London last season.
