An opticians which doubles as an art gallery in Twickenham has won the Fashion Practice of the Year award at the 2024 Opticians Awards.
The Optical Gallery, on King Street, was shortlisted for the same award last year but came out on top this time around, having also been nominated for the Best Independent Practice.
The gallery, which last month expanded into audiology as well, is led by three brothers, Nicos, Marios and Antonios.
Eldest brother Nicos Antoniades said: “It’s an incredible feeling to be recognised.
“Optics is such a unique industry. It sits at the crossroads of the medical and the fashionable.
“Striking that balance and providing the best advice while sourcing unique, niche eyewear and lenses is what we pride ourselves on.
“Our eyewear styling consultations are all about blending expertise with a personalised, enjoyable experience, and that’s what makes us different.”
One of the ways the brothers are keeping things fresh is by branching out into audiology which was also used as an opportunity to rebrand.
Nicos said: “It’s something we’ve been preparing for and means we’ll be able to assist with hearing health but fear not, we are still the same family opticians.”
Nicos said: “Our audiology service has begun and rolled out in the other two branches in Chessington and Cheam Village and Twickenham’s is just getting ready to start.
“As much as we’re sentimentally attached to the old logo, we felt it was time for a refresh.”
The three dots in the new logo represent the three brothers as well as the business’ three pillars: opticians, style, and now audiology.
