A clutch of golden flying penis trophies are up for grabs next week at the annual Sexual Freedom Awards in Vauxhall.
The distinctive prizes are hand carved in Bali and awarded to those making significant contributions to sexual freedoms and the sexual rights of the disabled.
A shortlist of 25 finalists has been drawn-up across ten different categories including Striptease, Activist, Performance Artist, Sex Worker and Pioneer of the Year.
First time judge, erotic journalist and educator, Alix Fox said: “It is a huge accolade to judge the massive spectrum of people and services that are recognised at the Sexual Freedom Awards.”
Alix will join journalist Frankie Mullin, obscenity lawyer Myles Jackman, best known for his involvement in the Parliament face-sitting protest, and others at the ceremony which will be awarded by Thalidomide campaigner Mikey Argy MBE.
According to Ms Fox performances are legendarily extreme but the main thrust of the evening is to raise money for The Outsiders Club, a charity which helps disabled people find partners.
The awards, previously known as the Erotic Oscars, were founded in 1994 by sex campaigner Tuppy Owens.
Show highlights will include performances from founder of the East London Strippers Collective Stacey Clare and Soho gentrification protestor Lucy Sparrow.
The ceremony will take place from 7-11pm on Monday November 9 at Fire in Vauxhall, tickets cost £30.
Ms Fox warned that the more squeamish may wish to avoid the front row.
