Made in Chelsea star Ollie Proudlock to run London Marathon and raise cash for British Heart Foundation

Made in Chelsea star Ollie Proudlock is set to pound the streets and raise charity cash during this year’s London Marathon.

The reality TV personality, fashion designer and artist will join the British Heart Foundation’s runner team in a bid to help the seven million people in the UK living with heart and circulatory disease by raising more than £80,000.

Ollie said: “I wanted to get involved because I have such a close link to the cause – I have a history of heart conditions in my family.

“My grandmother died from a ruptured aorta, my uncle had a double bypass, and my dad was diagnosed with a weak heart muscle in 2006 and told he had come dangerously close to having a heart attack.

“The BHF has funded decades of research to make sure more people survive heart surgery.

“I am so proud to be rising to this huge challenge and to be running the London Marathon to help the charity push the fight against heart disease onwards.”

Ollie, who is dating Ann Summers model Emma Louise Connolly, has been keeping his 12,500 Twitter followers abreast of his fitness regimen ahead of the 26.2mile run.

And Commonwealth Heptathlon Champion, 2012 Olympian and British Heart Foundation ambassador Louise Hazel has been making sure he sticks to the right path by creating a challenging exercise plan.
