Battersea Power Station with a light installation in front of it

WATCH: Battersea Power Station Light Festival 2025

The Battersea Power Station Light Festival has returned for its fifth year, illuminating the riverside landmark with a dazzling array of art and performances.

Running until 23rd February, the free-to-attend festival features eight stunning light artworks from British and international artists, with five installations making their UK debut.

Kate Boothman-Meier, Head of Communications & Marketing at Battersea Power Station Development Company said: “It’s really important to create places in public spaces where people and communities can really come together and be inspired.

“We really want to brighten up people’s evenings, we really want to bring something exciting and joyful.”

One of the highlights is Aurora, a brand-new creation designed specifically for the Power Station’s iconic Art Deco Turbine Hall.

The installations are spread across the building and its surrounding grounds, creating an immersive experience that invites visitors to explore the light in new and unexpected ways.

As the lights shine, the atmosphere is further brought to life with stilt dancers, rhythmic drummers, and performers who add an extra layer of energy to the event.

The combination of art and live performance transforms the riverside into a dynamic celebration of sound and light.

This year’s festival offers an opportunity to witness the stunning visual arts in the heart of this year’s London Borough of Culture, adding a touch of warmth and excitement to the winter nights.
