The temporary increase for Universal Credit was cut in October 2021, leaving community groups with additional concerns over how to support low-income families.
These cuts pushed 800,000 people into poverty across the UK, according to research from thinktank the Legatum Institute.
The increase was introduced at the start of lockdown in 2020 as a £20 addition for people claiming the benefit.
SWL spoke to charities and community groups who have been supporting people on Universal Credit to ask them how this cut impacted their services and the lives of those they help.
