A £90,000-a-year Mitcham finance consultant murdered her four-week-old baby with her Ukrainian lover, a court heard.
Paramedics were called to a flat in Streatham Road, Mitcham, after neighbours heard Clare Sanders, 42, screaming: “My baby, my baby.”
Baby Eva was alive but had suffered such severe injuries to her head and spine that her life support machine was turned off the following day.
Eva had also suffered 27 rib fractures.
Sanders was living at the flat with Tomas Vaitkevicius, 44, and they are jointly charged with murder, and causing or allowing the death of Eva Sanders on September 2, 2017.
Sanders and Vaitkevicius appeared at the Old Bailey via prison videolink and spoke only to confirm their names and nationalities.
Both were remanded in custody and are due to be tried on October 2.
