Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing has certainly topped Binky Felstead’s ‘naughty list’ this Christmas after he played a hilariously spectacular festive prank on his fellow co-star.
With Christmas rapidly approaching, the cheeky 27-year-old prankster teamed up with NOW TV to give Binky’s Chelsea townhouse an over-the-top Christmassy makeover, much to her surprise.
An excitable Jamie and his team of eleven elves worked non-stop for 12 hours to deck the halls, hedges and the front of the house with maniacally flashing lights and festive ornaments, inspired by Jamie’s favourite Christmas movies.
The chic townhouse was adorned with over 2,500 garish fairy lights, 25 metres of tinsel, a snow machine and nine giant inflatable Santa Clauses and reindeer.
While Jamie stood on top of the house wearing Christmas jumper, he beckoned: “Nothing says Christmas in Chelsea than a six foot tall candy cane – she’s going to absolutely love it!”
When Binky, 25, arrived back to her stylish Chelsea townhouse at the end of the night she seemed less than impressed that her house was now a tacky winter wonderland, guaranteed to annoy her Chelsea neighbours.
A shocked Binky said: “Jamie is definitely top of my naughty list after this prank.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw what he’d done to my house and I’m not sure my neighbours are thrilled, but it certainly got me in the festive spirit so I couldn’t stay mad at him for long!”
Jamie, on the other hand, was slightly overwhelmed by all the festive excitement.
Jamie confessed: “I absolutely love everything about Christmas and can’t get enough of the festive traditions that happen year after year – the carols, the terrible jumpers, the pigs-in-blankets, and of course, the classic Christmas movies.
“I’m a big believer in spreading festive cheer so I couldn’t resist surprisingly my good friend Binky by sprinkling a bit of that Christmas movie magic on her house.”
Binky’s house definitely stood out like a sore thumb on its quiet Chelsea road, which is renowned for its elegance and class.
Jamie joked: “She’s a stylish girl so I knew she would love what I did with the place.”
Jamie also told us how he was hoping to find Ariana Grande tucked away in his stocking and some tickets for a Victoria’s Secret underwear show.
He said: “I normally get a satsuma in my stocking but this year I want Ariana Grande, that would be the best present ever.
“I also want tickets to a Victoria’s Secret fashion show – for the obvious reasons!”
