A culture and heritage project has brought the colour and culture of a West African ethnic group to Southwark.
The project celebrates Yorùbá culture, a people which numbers up to 30 million across Nigeria and West Africa, and was brought to Peckham Square by charity CultureTree.
A mural was designed collaboratively by the community in Southwark, featuring Yorùbá words and motifs, and painted by a team of artists.
The installation is part of six walking trails around the borough, which each feature a QR code linking visitors to an online archive of interviews with local Yorùbá people.
