A mother of six from Chiswick cast aside her corporate role two years ago to become a personal stylist.
Jane Dyson owned her own corporate business and then sold it to a PLC Company and became the Managing Director of the Marketing Services Division on their Board.
After gaining tremendous experience in corporate life Jane decided it was time for a career change as she didn’t want to spend the rest of her working life in meetings.
Being a mother of six she also wanted to be in charge of her own time.
Jane stated she is a people person and when her 16-year-old daughter knowing that she loved colours asked her to analyse her friend’s colours the idea of being a personal stylist popped into her head.
Jane – pictured above – had her own colours done 25 years ago and she remembered how much she enjoyed it so being true to her passion she applied to become a House of Colour personal stylist.
Jane now owns her own successful House of Colour franchise and offers colour and style consultations across Chiswick, Richmond, Barnes and Kew.
Jane said: “I’ve never had a job where I have had instant gratification.
“I love the interactions and long- term relationships with my clients.”
Jane’s personal consultations involve a three-step process where she will review colour, style and make up for clients. She will also undertake personality profiling and present her clients with a wallet of colour to match their skin tone once the consultation is complete.
Jane said: “The drapes do the talking. It’s a scientific process that helps people be themselves.
“It’s a gift for life and cuts out spending money on the wrong wardrobe of colours. ”
Jane holds colour, style and make up classes for a group of up to four people as well as individual personal consultations and 90-second makeover classes.
