Every Saturday, a group of Wimbledon residents go for a 45 minute stroll and catch up on the common, where they learn about the history of the area and some of its interesting features.
SW Londoner went along to the ‘Wimbledon Common Walk and Talk’ to find out more about the benefits of this initiative and the great experiences it has given regulars.
One of the Walk and Talk’s organisers, Asif, explained the great community spirit which has been fostered by the initiative, while two regular attendees, David and Helen, detailed some of their best memories from exploring the common with the group.
