What cars do Londoners prefer?

Londoners don’t just see their cars as tools, but as an opportunity to move around comfortably.

The popularity of a particular car is often not about its unique design, speed capabilities and so on, but rather how it practically makes our lives easier.

Today we will talk about what kind of cars Londoners choose, what criteria are important to them and why.

What do the statistics say?

If we look at the data from the licensing committee, we can see that the Ford Fiesta is the most popular car on London’s roads.

Second place is occupied by the Ford Focus.

After these models, among the most popular car models in London are such models as: the Vauxhall Corsa, the Volkswagen Golf, the Vauxhall Astra, the Volkswagen Polo, the BMW 3 Series, the Nissan Qashqai, the Toyota Yaris and the Mini Cooper.

However, this statistic does not show the full picture, as recently Audi, Nissan, Kia And Fiat (we are talking about Fiat 500) have been added to the list of cars that Londoners would like to have.

Why do people choose these particular cars?

Let’s look at the question in more detail.

Why exactly these cars?

So, as the survey data show, the choice of such cars is quite simple: motorists most often do not pay much attention to the brand of the car.

They are mostly interested in its functionality in everyday life, closing daily needs and tasks.

This is especially true for people with families.

In fact, for the sake of justice, buying a family car it is necessary to take such that all could fit not only today or in a year.

That is, Londoners like to buy cars with a perspective for the future.

People who have not yet found a family like to buy something small, which is convenient to park almost anywhere.

In addition, many people like cars that have lots of safety features.

A large boot is very important to someone (for people travel a lot).

It is also worth noting that recently Londoners have increasingly started to pay attention to cars that are less harmful to the environment.

The choice fell on a variety of hybrids.

For example, Range Rover Evoque, Kia Nero and others.

Another important reason for choosing such cars is the ease of maintenance and repair.

Let me give you a simple example from my own life. Not so long ago, together with a friend went to change the timing belt in his Ford Fiesta.

It all started with the fact that the friend heard several characteristic signs that Ford Fiesta timing belt needs change, namely extraneous noises, metallic knocks and vibrations during engine operation. In addition, difficulties with starting the engine began.

Of course, the breakdown is very unpleasant and can lead to the need for major engine overhaul.

However, as the model is very common, we were able to carry out the initial diagnosis quite quickly.

Moreover, replacing the part was also not a very long procedure and, compared to many other cars, was less expensive.

Final thoughts

Londoners love their comfort and will not trade convenience for showing off.

The choice of a car is always accompanied by how of roomy the car is, as well as the desire to drive in a safe and more environmentally friendly vehicle.

In addition, Londoners favour car manufacturers that have been proven over the years.

A driver wants to be sure that their car is well assembled and will serve faithfully for a long time.

That is why people favour the car brands listed at the beginning of the article.
