There aren’t too many nights in a person’s life they can look back on and say it was one of the best.
Well, that’s what happened to one lucky Londoner on May 25, 2018. For Coingeek owner Calvin Ayre, who was celebrating his 57th birthday, had the help of Exceptional Events’ Julie Girgenti and Bitcoin Cash.
The birthday party was unique for a number of reasons. One was the fact that, thanks to Girgenti, it was paid for in Bitcoin Cash. The progressive events firm accept payment in the No.1 cryptocurrency.
Girgenti impressed
Girgenti initially had reservations about accepting cryptocurrency but has been more than impressed with BitPay, especially with the fact that the funds were in her account within 24 hours. That made it possible for her to pay for the venue, the vendors, and the suppliers. There was no expense spared for the party, with the venue for the night being the iconic Althorpe Estate.
The building is centuries old, with some of the most famous figures in British history having lived here in the Spencer Family Home, including Winston Churchill and Princess Diana. Calvin arrived at the party by helicopter, accompanied by an entourage of beautiful women. Guests, models, and champagne awaited his entrance.
The party began with a cocktail reception and live music, Bond-style models, a champagne bar, Gold Finer dancers, and oysters served up by the very fisherman who caught them. There were also 25 of the birthday boy’s closest friends in attendance.

The stunning dining room played host to an exquisite three-course meal. The room featured historical paintings lining the walls, along with wine pairing, dozens of candles, tasteful flowers, and a live string quartet. After dinner, guests were taken outside for the cutting of the cake, along with a murder mystery game, and fireworks.
To finish the party, Calvin was served his favourite rum, while the DJ played dance tunes for those looking to party on until the early hours. After resting for a few hours in their rooms, the guests woke to brunch the following day, accompanied by live harp music playing in the background, before being given a tour of the grounds. Apparently, Bitcoin goes a long way.
