A Fulham fan is joining more than 500 other football supporters in a ride from London to Amsterdam to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Billy Murphy, from Tolworth, is the only Fulham fan heading from the Olympic Park in Stratford to Ajax’s stadium, the Amsterdam Arena, this June 3-5.
The 26-year-old Wandsworth Council housing administration officer will be joined by former England captain Terry Butcher in the 145-mile trip to the Netherlands.
Mr Murphy said: “I’ve never done anything like it before, and I haven’t actually cycled in about eight years, so I thought I would put myself out there and give it a go.
“I had seen about it last year, but no-one wanted to do it with me, so I thought I’d bite the bullet this year.

“Training is going reasonably well, although I haven’t done as much as I probably should have yet because I’ve been at too many Fulham midweek away games.
“I’ve started cycling into work, which is 10 miles from home, one day each week, and I’m planning on increasing it to three soon.
“I will make sure I wear the Fulham shirt, I was hoping I could wear the cycling kit they made last year, but it’s not on sale anymore.”
Mr Murphy has raised more than £800 to date and is aiming for £1,000.
