Film detectives will finally get the chance to attend the inaugural Mystery Movie event in Wimbledon tomorrow night.
But the movie is so shrouded in secrecy that filmgoers won’t know what cinematic delights they will enjoy until the reel starts turning at 7pm.
The event is organised by Merton Arts Trail in collaboration with Wimbledon Film Club.
Co-Founder of Merton Arts Trail, Wendy Bliss, said: “The Mystery Movie event will be a first for Merton Arts Trail, and will really set this year apart from previous ones.
“It should be the perfect marriage between location and film.”
The sold-out event is being hosted in the 17th century Grade II-listed building, Southside House, on Wimbledon Common.
Ticketholders had to unearth the venue location via a series of clues via email in the weeks leading up to tomorrow night.
Johnjoe McFadden, Chair of Wimbledon Film Club, said: “This special one-off film event that we have programmed should really add to the visitor experience of this year’s festival.
“By combining the visual arts with film, visitors to the trail are sure to have a great day out this September.”
