WATCH: Immersive blossom exhibition brings spring to London

A blooming spring arrived in London this month – through the digital screens of an immersive blossom exhibition in Tottenham Court Road.

The National Trust have created ‘Nature’s Confetti,’ in the Outernet building, an display which tracks the life cycle of a tree through the venue’s 360-screens.

The heritage charity hopes that the immersive experience might make urbanites feel closer to the real thing and encourage donations to their Plant a Tree appeal.

Aiming to plant millions of blossoming trees and transform the English countryside, the innovative campaign is running at Outernet for the month of April.

Although donations are welcome, the event is free to attend, and visitors will have to be quick to catch one of the seven-minute blossom shows which run several times a day.
