Alternative rock band Biffy Clyro delivered an Earth-shattering performance at a sold-out O2 in London on Saturday night.
“The Biff” were joined by metalcore giants Architects as part of their 2022 UK & Ireland Tour.
Both bands were welcomed with unmatched energy and pure joy by the London faithful, while new fans got a taste of incredible anthems and captivating lyrics by two of Britain’s best bands.
Architects fan Liam Kearney, 25, said: “Glad I didn’t leave once Architects were done!
“Only regret was I didn’t listen to enough of Biffy’s songs before seeing them live!”
Kearney, who has been listening to Architects for over seven years, further elaborated on the joys of seeing one of his favourite bands live, describing it as the highlight of the night.
After headlining Reading and Leeds Festival last year, Biffy Clyro released their ninth studio album The Myth of the Happily Ever After which added even more raw power to their decade-long discography.
In a set list that celebrated their entire career, Simon Neil, Ben Johnson and James Johnson left it all on the stage of the O2 Arena.
From debut album single 57 through to the widely successful Mountains amongst others, Biffy Clyro electrified a frenzied crowd with non-stop riffs and magnificent crescendos.
For the more mellow tracks like Machines and encore hit God & Satan, Neil was accompanied by a lovely duo of violins which served to further elevate his emotionally charged lyrics.
The atmosphere on the floor was otherworldly as Biffy staples That Golden Rule and Who’s Got A Match resulted in mosh pits of epic proportions.
The night concluded with a heartfelt performance of Biffy’s signature tune Many of Horror which saw the band at their absolute best and in perfect synergy.
Mature, bold and powerful as ever, Biffy Clyro sent the audience home in a grandiose emotional display of musicianship and pure, unbridled chaos.
