The London Literature Festival returned to the Southbank Centre this autumn, collecting artists, poets, writers and book lovers to challenge tradition and celebrate storytelling.
Among the highlights was Out-Spoken, an evening of poetry and live music hosted by Joelle Taylor, featuring performances from writers Jay Bernard and Danez Smith.
Attendees also enjoyed the New Poets Collective Showcase, which fused multimedia and music to redefine poetic expression.
National Poetry Day inspired people to not only enjoy the art of poetry but also to create their own.
Sarah, an attendee said: “Places like these are a gathering of souls and like minded individuals to share, to be heard and to take all the things they learnt and experienced here and spread that wider.”
From live readings to creative workshops, the festival left listeners inspired.
