Londoners can expect road blocks and road closures as the Metropolitan Police initiate their policing and security operation across the capital following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Additional police officers will be posted outside key locations, including transport hubs, Royal Parks and outside Royal Residences in central London.
Road closures are being established at a number of locations in Westminster. The Met are working closely with Westminster City Council and Transport for London to minimise any disruption.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Stuart Cundy said: “This operation will be highly visible, particularly in Westminster and areas around Buckingham Palace and St James’s Park.
“Those visiting London are asked to remain vigilant and report any concerns to police officers on duty.”
